Student Ministry

At Third Street Student Ministries (TSSM), we base everything we do on three main focuses: Discipleship, Fellowship, and Service. All of our events, services, and classes are based on one or a combination of these key tenets. We view our ministry as a resource for discipling students through weekly worship and biblically-based lessons in the form of small-group communities. Our goal is to support families, working with parents to further grow our group into more deeply dedicated followers of Christ Jesus.

What to Expect

Wednesday Nights

Our Wednesday night services are from 6 pm to 7:15 pm in the Blackmon Chapel.

During this time we begin with worship in a dedicated worship service, led by both college leaders and students. This is followed by a sermon from Jacob or one of the intern leaders. Then, we break into small groups based on age and gender and further duscuss the passage through questions and group participation. We also have occasional weeks dedicated to growing our group closer together through fellowship, with emphasis on activities and breaking bread together.

Sunday School

Our TSSM Sunday School class meets up in Blackmon room 205.

Here, students will go through a lesson from the Gospel Project curriculum that aligns with the adult Sunday School lessons. This is meant to generate gospel conversations with their families throughout the week.

Winter DNow — Mid February
Summer Church Camp — Mid Summer
Moving on Up — Mid to Late July
Fall Retreat — Late October/Early November
